Dr. Michaela Wesse
born 1966 in Hamburg, studied pharmacy at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) of Munich. After obtaining her approbation as a Registered Pharmacist in 1991 she did research work at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London and at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry, Martinsried. She obtained her Ph.D. at the Leopold Franzens University of Innsbruck on the galenic development of an oral pertussis vaccine (Institute of General and Experimental Pathology in co-operation with the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology) in 1997.
After working with a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) in the department of drug safety she joined the firm VOSSIUS & PARTNER in June 1999. Michaela was admitted to practice as a European Patent Attorney in 2005 and as a German Patent Attorney and European Trademark & Design Attorney in 2012.
She focuses on patent prosecution and opposition cases as well as on freedom-to-operate opinion matters. Michaela is fluent in German and English.
Together with Alexa von Uexküll and Jennifer Clayton-Chen, she is co-author of the German chapter of "International Pharmaceutical Law and Practice", LexisNexis.
