was born in Osaka, Japan, in 1948. After completing his studies at the University of Osaka, specializing in the field of welding engineering, he joined Nippon Steel Corporation in 1973. After several years of research in the field of welding materials, welding machines and their application in production lines, he began his work in industrial property protection in 1979. He was responsible for Japanese and international patent applications as well as infringement cases in the Patent Department of Nippon Steel Corporation. From 1980 to 1982, he spent time in Germany and the U.S. to study the patent laws and practices of these countries. He also has an excellent knowledge of the German and English languages. Mr. Ishino has been with the firm of VOSSIUS & PARTNER since 1997.
