Dr. Dieter Heunemann
studied physics at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in solid-state physics and nuclear physics. After receiving his Ph.D. in 1972, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Nuclear Chemistry Division (LBL) at the University of California in Berkeley. In 1973, he began training to become a German Patent Attorney (Patentanwalt) and a European Patent Attorney, and in 1977, he was admitted to practice before the German Patent & Trademark Office. He has been a European Patent Attorney since 1978, and a European Trademark Attorney since 1996. Dr. Heunemann became a partner in the firm of VOSSIUS & PARTNER in 1980.
He works predominantly on patent examination and opposition proceedings as well as revocation and patent litigation cases.
