studied chemistry and biochemistry (Bachelor of Science) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, and specialized in Biochemistry (Master of Science). After her Master Thesis in the field of DNA repair and Chromatin Remodeling in Copenhagen, Denmark she performed her doctorate at the Gene Center of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich in the field of structural biology receiving a scholarship from the Ernst-Schering Foundation. In her summa cum laude dissertation, she solved the structure of a multi-subunit chromatin remodeler using electron microscopy and analyzed the role of its subunits in substrate binding and activity. The results were published in the Journal “Cell”.
In 2017, Dr. Haas joined Vossius & Partner at their Munich Office as German Patent Attorney after finishing her IP training in a renowned patent law firm in Munich. In 2018, Dr. Haas was admitted to practice as a European Patent Attorney.
Dr. Haas is experienced in pre-grant proceedings, opposition and appeal proceedings. Her scientific expertise is mainly in the field of biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, biological, pharmaceuticals and antibodies.
