studied biology at the Technical University of Munich (Technische Universität München; TUM). His doctoral thesis in the Institute of Virology, TUM, focused on the role of autophagy in neurodegenerative disease. Afterwards, Dr. Heiseke was funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation; DFG) and started postdoctoral research at the University College London (UCL), investigating neurotoxic effects of protein aggregates. Dr. Heiseke joined VOSSIUS & PARTNER in 2011.
Dr. Heiseke was admitted to practice as a European Patent Attorney in 2015. He is experienced in developing IP filing strategies and has extensive experience in pre-grant proceedings including preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications. Dr. Heiseke is also experienced in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office. Dr. Heiseke’s scientific expertise lies mainly in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, pharmacology, genetics, virology and therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
