Dr. Alessandro Tosi studied biochemistry, cellular biology and chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich. He completed his studies with a Master’s thesis in Oslo, Norway. Afterwards, he carried out his doctoral research at the Gene Center in Munich. He employed an integrative structural approach to solve the architecture of a macromolecular complex that is a key player in maintaining genome integrity. During his PhD, he acquired skills in molecular and structural biology as well as mass spectrometry techniques. His work was published, among others, in the journal “Cell”. He was awarded his PhD summa cum laude.
Dr. Alessandro Tosi joined Vossius & Partner at their Munich office in 2014 and was admitted to practice as a German Patent Attorney (Patentanwalt) in 2018. Dr. Alessandro Tosi has been involved in developing IP filing strategies. He thus has experience in pre-grant proceedings including preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications. He also has experience in defending and attacking of patents as well as in infringement proceedings. His scientific experience is mainly in the field of biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, pharmacology, bioinformatics and therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
