After his training in the IP domain including stages at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court and the Higher District Court in Munich he was admitted to practice as German Patent Attorney (Patentanwalt) and European Patent Attorney in 2011. In 2013, he became a partner in the firm.
Dr. Christoph Eisenmann represents his clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO) as well as the European Patent Office (EPO) with a particular emphasis on the technical fields of physics and material science, medical technology, optics and biotechnology. In addition to patent prosecution Dr. Christoph Eisenmann has valuable experience in opposition, invalidation and patent infringement cases.
Dr. Eisenmann studied physics at the University of Konstanz and the Tel Aviv University, Israel. Completing his studies with an experimental work in the field of multiple light scattering he obtained his diploma in 2002. Focusing on experimental soft condensed matter he finished his dissertation on the melting transition of colloidal crystals at the University of Konstanz in 2004. Continuing his research he studied the colloidal glass transition as a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard University, Cambridge, USA.
