We are pleased to announce that our office has arranged for the 19th year running a training course on European and German patent law from 14th to 26th September 2008.

This training course will give practitioners with experience in patents an in-depth understanding of German and European patent law with particular emphasis on patent prosecution, opposition and litigation. Lectures and workshops, including working on hypothetical cases, will be held from

9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and
2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

The course will begin with a reception at our office
at 2.00 p.m. on Sunday, 14 September 2008.

The lectures will be held in English. Additionally, we are pleased to be able to offer various guest lectures by members of the EPO and the GPTO. In addition to the lectures, a visit to the German Patent and Trademark Office and European Patent Office is on the program as well as attending a hearing in an opposition case before the EPO. There will be a trip to Neuschwanstein castle, a visit to the famous Munich Oktoberfest, and optionally a visit to sports or cultural events.
